Paige Schwartzman
is a seasoned horsewoman with 26 years of experience. At the age
of 11, she began riding at Flora Lea Farm in Medford, NJ. Since
then, she spent many years on the East coast as a working student for
various farms from raising thoroughbreds to schooling and selling
horses. She is well rounded having done a little of everything
from equitation, to hunters, to western equitation to combined training
and foxhunting. She worked as a rider/groom on the hunter/jumper
circuit and then as a rider/groom for a dressage barn. For a brief
time, she was an assistant at a facility in Greenwich, CT
and then went on to promote her own business as a trainer in Vincentown,
NJ. She closed her training business to pursue a full time career
as a high school science teacher. Now, she manages Good Compromise
Farm with her husband Chris. Paige continues to ride and is
focusing on dressage with her horse Polaris.
Chris Schwartzman
is an avid horseman who from the time he could walk began to ride
western. Actually, he could probably ride before he could
walk if his mother had it her way! As a child growing up in
Montana, his family always had horses. Chris’s time in the saddle
includes showing western pleasure and trail riding in the mountains.
Chris is “Mr. Fix-it!” There is not a thing he can not fix around
the farm. He is very handy making daily improvements such as new
fencing, new stalls and windows and general maintenance. When
Chris is not working on the farm he is transporting horses around the
country.
